Generally it is a rare case to forget our Facebook username and password but sometimes it happens in the cases we changed our password and forgot the new one or some one who took control over our Facebook account by hacking. If you are the genuine user you can easily get back your password and username. Facebook provides a couple of ways to provide to reset your Facebook password incase you lost or someone hack your account. Let us have a look at the ways how to reset your password.
Method #1
Recover Facebook Password using Email or Password.
Open Facebook and click Forget password as shown in the below pic.
In the page opened, Provide your E-mail Associated with your Facebook, you can also provide phone number if you registered it with Facebook.
If you provide your either of your email or phone correctly then Facebook asks you whether it can send the confirmation code to the email/phone number associated with that email.
Once you found that the details are correct. Click ‘Send Codes and login to XX mail’ where you get password reset code through which you can reset your password.
If you are not using both email and phone number you can reset your even your email using the link ‘No Longer to access these’ where you can reset your email but you should have answer for the security question you put while creating your account.
Method #2
Recover Facebook Password using UserName.
This is bit tough, generally many people wont remember their username of their Facebook account. If you remember you can easily get back your password. But it again take you to the email/sms screen where it will send reset code to email or sms .
Method #3
Recover Facebook Password with the help of a friend.
This option is really cool, go to Facebook Password Recovery Page, in the last column as shown in the below figure provide your name. Reset Code will be sent to your friend’s email or phone through which you can reset your password. Make sure that you know him well or else it is almost like knocking door and giving password to a stranger
Though you are unable to reset your password chances are there you can still reset your password using the Facebook password reset contact form where you need to provide a lot of details of about yourself
