Add Google Plus Follow Box to WordPress

Google Plus Follow Box is new way to provide an option to your visitors to follow your blog. Just like how you can get followers in twitter and Facebook using their official buttons and like boxes  you can also have same follow box for Google+ even. In simple, it is almost like Facebook like box kind of thing.  you can place a box in your website or WordPress blog.

Before you add box to this blog you should have your Google+ Profile or Page. If you are just looking to add Google +1 button to your blog or website, follow the tutorial add google+ button to your blog.  If you follow this tutorial you could able to place a box as shown in the below.

Google generates add to circles box where you can directly place the code in your website or blog. Google provides a lot of options to generate code here. 

#1. Go toAdd to Circles google box generator by Google 

#2. Login to your Google+ profile  or the page created for your page

#3. Copy the Google+ Page ID from your  Google+ profile as shown in the below figure.

#4.  In the Google+ Page add to circles page provide your copied page ID as shown in the below figure and it provides a lot of options to customize it in terms of height, width as shown in the below figure.

#5. In the below section of the same page, a code will be generated which asks you to copy  code in the head section and some part of the code in your webpage to render your box.

#6. Copy the code you need to copy in the header section of your WordPress blog, go  to your dashboard->Appearance->Editor->footer.php  and copy the code.

#7. Place the code in your WordPress site ( like sidebar ) and refresh the page.

Once you followed above steps completely you should able to see ‘Add to Circles’ box in your WordPress site. If you are using non WordPress site, place the code in the header section and place the code which renders the box in webpage where you expected your box
