Adding favicon to your wordpress blog



  1. Generate your favicon ( if you dont know what is favicon or and need help to generate favicons read my post 3 best sites for generating favicon.
  2. Login to your control panel
  3. Upload your favicon.ico at /public_html/ folder
  4. Login to your wordpress and Go to  Dashboard – > Appearance -> Editor -> header.php
  5. add the below line just above closing your head tag. ( </head> )
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico">

Save it and check it brower after refreshing ( Ctrl + f5 )

    We cannot find the html in our header, what are we missing? We follow until you say header>php ???

      Hi
      Login to your dashboard
      Open Appearance -> Editor -> header.php
      there you have to edit this file
