How to install Joomla on Hostgator, DreamHost using fantastico



Installing Joomla on Servers like HostGator, DreamHost is almost similar to installing wordpress if you are use fantastico.  If you don’t know about Joomla, then it is bit intro about Joomla. Joomla is  a powerful CMS more than a blogging system, a portal engine used by many corporate and educational sites.  Let us see how to install Joomla step by step.

 

Login to you domain yourdomain.com/cpanel

Select Fantastico from the Cpanel options

Click on Fantastico De Lux, Check on left side menu, Click Joomla 1.5.

After Clicking New Installation a form kind of thing will open where you need to provide your installation settings, as shown in the below figure.

Fill the details and click install that’s it, Make sure you wont select Install Sample Data which dumps heavy sample data to your site. But this data helps you to know module positions
