How to show My Computer icon on Windows8 Desktop



Windows8 is the new upcoming and most awaited operating System. Recently they also released developer version of Windows8. Windows8 Features are really awesome changing the complete hardware and the way how windows operating system GUI. Windows has to make these changes to be in this competitive technological world as Google also comes up with their Google chrome OS.

Windows8 comes with two GUI modes, the new interface which is pretty good and the old classical start menu GUI.  Since the people used to  access their computer from the desktop  I am providing a simple step so that you can get/see MyComputer on desktop in windows8.

Click on Desktop as shown in the below figure

How to Show My Computer on Desktop in Windows 8 step 1

Click on Personalize option

Click on Change Desktop icons -> Select My Computer

Now, you will see MyComputer on your desktop

    You have not mentioned how to switch from Metro UI to GUI in Windows 8. However, I just added the computer icon to my Windows 8 home screen.
